For One Unit

Tools Required: None.

Step 1: Strut Assembly

1. Position 2 struts to form an X with the center holes aligned.
2. Slide the carriage bolt through the center holes of the two struts.
3. Add a flat-washer to the protruding end of the inserted carriage bolt.
4. Screw on wing nut to pull the flat head bolt into the strut. The flat head bolt should be flush / even with the strut. Remove wing nut and proceed to E.
5. Add a lock-washer after the flat-washer.
6. Screw on wing nut tightly so that the frame does not collapse after removing the bag.

Step 2: Repeat Step 1 for the other two struts.

Step 3: Dowels

1. Take one of the strut assemblies, insert a dowel through the top hole.
2. Insert a cotter pin through the inner and outer hole of the dowel, making sure the strut is between the cotter pins. After inserting the cotter pins, be sure to pull apart the ends of the cotter pins about 1/8 inch to keep pins from falling out during movement.
3. Insert the dowel through the corresponding hole in the second assembled strut.
4. Repeat step B.

Step 4: Attach the Bag

1. Hold the bag by the handles.
2. Insert the bag into the frame.
3. Wrap the handles around the protruding end of the dowels.
4. D. If you are using the optional poly bag inserts, simply insert the poly bag liner inside the burlap bag, and use the four binding clips to clip the poly bag liner to each corner of the burlap bag.
5. Care and Handling. Soak bag in cold water / hang dry.

For Additional Units

Simply use the steps above to attach any additional units to the base unit. To be sure the struts are properly aligned, please refer to the photos below.
